Saddam Hussein Capture:
Saddam Hussein, who for decades killed his own people, invaded other
countries, sent his followers into suicide bombings, has now been
captured without a fight. The low-life cowardly excrement surrendered in
hole like the rat he is. I can't wait for the Russians, French, and
Germans to find something wrong with our capture.
Responses To: Saddam Hussein Capture: Isn't it amazing that all of the low rung terrorists in the world are encouraged to commit suicide for their "cause", but their leaders (Sadam Hussein, etc.) are content to talk big until their own capture----then meekly surrender, showing themselves for the weak, pitiful, excuses for leaders that they are?

Col. Riley, I shiver even the thought of disagreeing with your take on Saddam Hussein, lest I may become an instant Russian, or a German, or a French. There is no doubt that Saddam was among the worse and heinous leaders of state. But, you said he invaded countries. How many? Kuwait? Did he invade Iran? We were helping him through our material support, WMD and all, to stop the vehement military force of our number one enemy, Iran, from taking the country of Iraq.
We also knew that Saddam Hussein invaded
Kuwait, thinking that it was always part of the land of Iraq. We
also read from sources other than from our mainstream media that he
hinted his plan to a U.S. ambassador, but there was silence on the part
of then, President George H.W. Bush, so he made a wrong move. So,
we all know the rest of the story.
I have a tremendous respect and admiration to
all those who made the birds and the stars for they are the true leaders
of our country who stake their lives so all of us will be free. I
tip my hat to you Col. Riley for your indefatigable efforts in rallying
our forgotten warriors to speak up for the disgrace that have been done
to them by the very country that they have defended and fought for.
I cannot reconcile in my mind though, why our
answer to the 9/11 terrorist attacks to America became a war of
attrition in Iraq. The world saw us, like a man punching a
midget because someone who've ran away and gone, hit his head
with a 2 x 4. While there was a macho words flying in the air,
"you can run but you can't hide; we will get him 'dead or alive'
and then kicked a bearded man who was on crutches to take revenge for
what another bearded man, Osama bin Laden, had inflicted our people.
Bush to Iraq - Right or Wrong?
I say, right for the wrong reason. With
due respect, I beg to differ. There is no doubt that our president
talk tough, a real macho man, and who wants to prove to the world that
he is a great leader. Just to picture him aboard an aircraft
carrier, with complete fighter pilot outfit, (MISSION ACCOMPLISHED)
splashed before our very eyes and then his secret travel to Iraq to
celebrate Thanksgiving among the selected few, in my opinion, did not
show he is the only person "on the horizon" that can do a
better job in leading our country. The words, gung-ho, tough,
macho that describe him somehow is diluted when we saw another head of
state, Prime Minister Tony Blair, who went to visit his troops in Iraq for
all the world to know.
Your flag statement about Congress and the VSOs
is right on target. I agree with you 100% although I differ with
you in your rationalization that President Bush's subordinates
are the culprits of what went wrong or what is going wrong.
Blaming Cheney, Rumsfield, etc. doesn't make the leader blameless.
You know that very well, Col. Riley that if you give orders to the
majors, captains and lieutenants, to execute them, you want us to
believe that they can do something else even to the detriment of your
leadership? Common now! President Bush is the
Commander-in-Chief. Please, don't make the subordinates the
scapegoats of what went wrong or what is now going wrong.
We were on the subject of President Bush and
yet you divert your mind into a personal attack in the integrity of
Hillary Clinton; even drawing anti-semetic statements coming from
rejoinders of your inquiry. There will be a constant war of words
among the retirees and veterans for as long as the bashing of persons in
political parties go on, an especially from you, Col. Riley.
Let's have a decent exchange of ideas by not
showing our political colors.
From: Leo Boatright No body knows who has been captured, and Mr Bush has killed more people than Hussan has ever done, this Govt. is the worst there has ever been, the Country is is the worst shape it has ever been in.
